Ecliptic Peril

Ecliptic Peril is a world building game based on the map-labeling RPG Beak, Feather, & Bone. This RPG draws inspiration from ancient Chinese mythology and Daoism, allowing players to explore and interpret the lore behind the Sì Xiàng (Translation: Four symbols, Four Gods, Four Guardians, Four Auspicious beasts), which appear among the Chinese constellations and correspond to the four cardinal directions of the world. 

Using the map provided, players will claim areas in different nations by colouring them in, they will then describe the people, places and objects that exist in the world, following the prompts provided. The overall goal is to create a collaborative narrative for the Ecliptic Peril universe, determining your own lore and backstories for each nation and its Guardian, in order to discover the secrets of the realm.
